It started in the car park. Wax melted into the console, zinc rolling around under the seat, the fin key missing again and the scraper nowhere to be found.
We wanted one thing that held the lot. Somewhere to keep the wax, wind it up when you need it, and stop it going everywhere on a hot day, with the zinc and tools in the same spot.
Getting there took a lot of 3D-printed prototypes. The wind-up base, the sealed zinc compartment and the tools in the lid each stayed because they fixed something that annoyed us.
